About Us

Carrie-Ellen Zappa has over 20 years professional experience in the entertainment business as an Acting Teacher, Acting Coach, Manager, Talent Agent, Artistic Director, Director, Assitant director, Actor, Singer, Dancer. Carrie-Ellen Zappa trained under the legendary Uta Hagen, at The Aerican Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, the American Ballet Theater in New York, holds a BA in Drama from UC Irvine in Southern California with an emphasis on Musical Theater, Directing & TV/Film.

 

Carrie-Ellen Zappa has been honored and privileged to privately coach and manage students and talent for her company Zappa Studios for the past 10 years. Her students work on stage and screen in the Midwest Region and some have moved to NYC and LA to pursue their careers to the next leve.

 

Her students of all ages and levels of experience from SAG/AFTRA/EQUITY to Non Union beginners can be found in National Broadway Tours, Tony Award Winning Regional Equity Productions, Hollywood Feature Films, National TV shows, Web Series/Internet, CD's & Itunes, Commercials/Voice Over, National Voice Competitions including American Idol & The Voice, National Dance Competitions, Indepedant Film, Professional-Commuity & Childrens Theater/Musical Theater.

 

Many of her students are award winning performers including; The United States Presidential Award, The International Film Festival - Best Actor, American Idol Finalist, Cincinnati Enquirer - Best Actor, Actress, College Scholarship Overture Awards, City Beat Awards - Best Comedian, Best Country Singer, Best Actor/Actress, Best Dance Company, Zappa Studios American Idol, OMEA, OCTA, Orchid Awards, Cappy Awards, Recording Artist Competitions.

 

In the Midwest US region, she has directed, performed and taught with the Aronoff Center, Tony Award winning Cincinnati Playhouse In The Park, the Dayton based Human Race Theater, Schuster Center, the Cincinnati College Conservatory Theater, Northern Kentucky University, Pacific School of Music and the Arts (where she was also the Artistic Director) in Southern California, several High School, Middle and Elementary Schools in California and the Midwest, and over 30 theater companies in the Tri-State Region.

 

She manages talent actively working in theater, musical theater,  television, film, commercials and print. She manages a diverse group of talented individuals who are dedicated to the creative process and helps them meet their professional goals.

 

 

In 2007 she began assisting as a Casting Director working for many film and theater companies to assist finding the right talent for their productions. Her professional career includes working as a talent agent for CAM Talent Agency as the Assistant Director of the office in Cincinnati prior to starting her own Studio.

 

In 2011, Carrie-Ellen Zappa also began working as an on set coach in film, web/TV and theater.
